My Story
Hi there! I'm Katherine, the founder of Stroke of Wonder Shop. The name reflects my personal journey as a stroke survivor and a single mother of two daughters. In 2018, I experienced the first of four consecutive strokes within a year, leading to a challenging medical journey. This resulted in me becoming disabled at 40, with limited mobility in my right side, no longer able to use my right hand, and other hidden challenges. Thanks to the support of my daughters and partner, I've found renewed passion and enthusiasm for my kitchen.
Cooking and baking became therapeutic outlets for me, turning my kitchen into a sanctuary of creativity and resilience. This passion for culinary arts inspired the launch of Stroke of Wonder Shop, where I channel my love for cooking into creating unique, handcrafted kitchen dishes, blends and flavors. Each item in our collection is designed with care, combining functionality with a touch of whimsy, to bring a little wonder into your everyday cooking experience.
My shop isn't just about selling products; it's about sharing stories and building a community. Every purchase helps support stroke awareness and rehabilitation programs, giving a voice to those who have been through similar journeys. The Inception
Stroke of Wonder Shop originated from a moment of concern for a family member who was seven months pregnant and unwell. To offer comfort and boost natural immunity, I created a unique tea blend using herbs and spices. This initial blend, known as my "first blend," was later developed into a personalized care package with customized labels. This venture has since become a platform for sharing my story and bringing my innovative creations to life.
From these modest beginnings, Stroke of Wonder Shop has grown into a cherished haven for wellness enthusiasts and individuals looking for handmade magic in their daily rituals.
